Terms of Service

Welcome to CVSender. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cvsender.co.uk and the CVSender service (the "Service"), operated by Babur Sayer, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What CVSender does

CVSender helps UK job seekers find roles that genuinely fit their experience. You upload your CV once; we find UK job listings, honestly assess how well you fit each role, and help you tailor your CV and cover letter for the roles you choose. You always decide which jobs to apply to. We never apply on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service, and you must have or be seeking the right to work in the United Kingdom. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Your responsibilities

• You confirm that the CV and information you provide is truthful and yours to use.
• You are responsible for reviewing any CV or cover letter the Service tailors before you send it. We ground tailoring in your real experience and do not knowingly invent qualifications, but you are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit to an employer.
• You remain responsible for your own applications and for how you present yourself to employers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our source code or prompts.
• Attempt prompt injection or otherwise manipulate our AI systems to behave outside their intended purpose.
• Upload malicious files, malware, or content you have no right to upload.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account, or use multiple accounts to bypass usage limits.
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, defraud, or mislead employers or any other party.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

5. Honest assessments: no guarantee of employment

CVSender gives you an honest assessment of how your CV fits a role, including telling you where you are not a strong fit. Our assessments are AI-generated opinions provided for your consideration; they are not guarantees. We do not guarantee that you will be shortlisted, interviewed, or hired for any role. Hiring decisions are made entirely by employers, over whom we have no control.

6. AI-generated content

The Service uses AI (including Anthropic's Claude models) to read CVs, assess fit, and tailor documents. AI can make mistakes. Review all AI-generated content before relying on or submitting it. We design our system to work only from what is genuinely in your CV, and not to fabricate qualifications, but you must check the output before it goes to an employer. Job listings come from third-party sources (Reed, Adzuna) and we are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or content.

7. Beta and experimental features

CVSender is a new and evolving service. Some features are experimental, may change, may be withdrawn, and may not work perfectly. We provide them on an "as is" basis. We welcome your feedback.

8. Subscriptions and payment

You can create an account, upload your CV, and see your honest job matches at no cost. CV tailoring and cover letter generation require a paid subscription at £14.99/month. Payments are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

Fair use: subscriptions are for individual use. We may apply reasonable usage limits to prevent abuse, and will tell you if you approach them.

9. Your data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data, including that your CV is processed by AI sub-processors to provide the Service. You can export or delete all of your data at any time from Profile → Account & data.

10. Intellectual property

The Service (its design, code, prompts, and content, excluding your own data and CV) belongs to us. You retain all rights to your own CV and personal content. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

11. Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use them to improve the Service, without obligation to you.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost job opportunities, loss of earnings, or reliance on AI-generated assessments or tailored documents. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account & data. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service. On termination, we handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy make up the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service, and replace any prior agreements or understandings.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new "last updated" date, and where changes are material we will notify you.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
